About This Art
Diamojism is an original art form in which iconic works from art history are reconstructed entirely from emoji—thousands of individually selected diamond-shaped tiles, chosen for color, edge and form.
Hokusai encoded natural force into a vocabulary of structured marks. Van Gogh absorbed that logic and turned it on the night sky. This work continues that conversation in a third vocabulary, assembled from the symbols of contemporary digital communication. Crescent moons appear in the cypress. Shooting stars appear at the village horizon.
