About Me

I'm a lifelong artist at heart, and I rediscovered my passion for art after a successful 40-year career in engineering. Upon retiring, I realized that art was more than just a hobby; it was my calling.

Today, I proudly exhibit my work at the SEMVA Art Gallery, nestled in the heart of downtown Rochester, Minnesota. I am on the Executive Board and act as the Treasurer.

I have some of my prior work located here.

My Artist Statement

I create detailed artwork that blends realism with imagination. Using charcoal, oils, watercolors, and pastels, I bring the beauty of the world to life. I find inspiration in ordinary objects and aim to express their essence through my drawings. With careful attention to detail, I explore light and shadow to add depth and texture, making my work feel real. My goal is to create art that brings joy and beauty to others, whether it's a portrait or a simple object, inspiring those who see it.
