Diamojism is an original art form in which iconic works from art history are reconstructed entirely from emoji—thousands of individually selected diamond-shaped tiles, chosen for color, edge and form.
The most examined face in Western art history, rendered in the visual language of the present moment. The finest tiles were directed to the eyes and lips—the two passages that have held the world's attention for five centuries. The eyes were rendered at the highest resolution in the work. The lips, selected for tone alone, produced hearts, blood type symbols and Japanese characters—arriving unexpectedly with meaning.
It remains legible. It remains ambiguous. As it should be.
